Leo constellation info + August's planner journal

Welcome to August’s planner pages with the biblical focus of the Zodiac constellation Leo.

Leo constellation

The final Zodiac constellation of the Biblical story in the night sky is Leo the lion marking the 12th month of the Biblical story in the night sky. This year the dates for Leo are July 19-August 17, 2023, which is the month of Av according to the Hebrew calendar.

In the Spring the sign of Leo the lion shines brightly in the night sky as the sign that is easily recognizable by its shape and looks more like its symbol than the rest of the constellations.

The Hebrew name for this constellation is Arieh, which means ‘The Lion.’  It is one of six words in Hebrew used for lion, and Arieh refers to a lion hunting down its prey. The Syriac name was Aryo which is translated to mean The Rending Lion.

Leo is shown over the head of Hydra, the Serpent being destroyed, as God said in Genesis 3 where God is prophesying to the serpent:

*

“I will make you and the woman hostile toward each other.
I will make your descendants and
her descendant hostile toward each other.
He will crush your head, and you will bruise his heel.”

Genesis 3:15 NOG

*

God’s story in the sky began with the verse in Genesis Virgo and will be fulfilled in Leo with the final act of biblical prophetic story of Yeshua HaMashiach, Jesus the Messiah.

This is illustrated in the ancient star map, the Egyptian Dendera Zodiac

In the original Dendera Zodiac the word Knem appears in hieroglyphs, that means Who conquers, affirming the victory of the Lion of Judah in the biblical book of Revelation.

In Revelation, the last book of the Bible it says,

Then one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep!
See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David,
has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.”

Revelation 5:5 NIV

The Great Sphinx of Egypt is an ancient astro structure connected to the Great Pyramids and one of the 12 ancient wonders of the world. The word sphinx means ‘to bind closely together.’ The giant stone structure has the head of a woman and the body and tail of a lion. In the Zodiac in Egyptian Temple of Esneh there is a sphinx between the signs of Virgo and Leo marking the beginning of the celestial story in the sky with the constellation Virgo and the ending with Leo.

“… for I am God and not a mere mortal.
I am the Holy One living among you,
and I will not come to destroy.
For someday the people will follow me.
I, the Lord, will roar like a lion.
And when I roar, my people will return trembling from the west.
for I am God and not a mere mortal.
I am the Holy One living among you, and I will not come to destroy.
For someday the people will follow me.
I, the Lord, will roar like a lion.
And when I roar, my people will return trembling from the west.

Hosea 11:9b-10 NLT

The Stars of Leo

Regulus, a very bright white 1st magnitude star means Treading Underfoot and is seen as the Regal King. The second brightest star in the Leo constellation is Denebola, meaning The Judge Who Comes. Another star, Algiebha means The Exaltation. In the back of the lion the star Zozma means Shining Forth. The star at Leo’s head is named Minchar Alasad, and it means The Tearing of Lion. These names support the story and victory of Leo, the Lion from the tribe of Judah - Yeshua HaMashiach, Jesus the Messiah.

The Hope of Leo

Looking forward to victory through Christ is the hope of Leo. God wins!

*

On this mountain he will destroy the shroud that enfolds all peoples,
the sheet that covers all nations; he will swallow up death forever.
The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces;
he will remove his people’s disgrace from all the earth.
The Lord has spoken. In that day they will say,
“Surely this is our God;
we trusted in him, and he saved us.
This is the Lord, we trusted in him;
let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation.”

Isaiah 25:7-9 NIV

*

Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed
into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled:
“Death is swallowed up in victory.
O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?
For sin is the sting that results in death,
and the law gives sin its power.
But thank God!
He gives us victory over sin and death
through our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 15:54-57 NLT
