Painting the Studio Floor

It was a long-awaited and suddenly spontaneous decision to empty the entire studio room and paint the subfloor. The video below chronicles the process my husband, Keith, and I went through to transform the floor of my home studio room from carpet to ready for action painting makeover.

The Basics of supplies used in the floor painting process:

NOTE: I bought my paint supplies, except for the stencil and sea sponge and gloves, at Home Depot, which was generally cheaper than Amazon. I already had a sea sponge, gloves paper to tape and fan brush

In the next post I’ll share about the story of why we decided to do it right before we went on a trip, the big obstacle I faced, and the results.

For now, below is a photo of the floor close-up and a sneak peak to the most transformed wall of my studio.

The left lower corner of the image of the floor in the first photo is a bit off due to the sun glare, but it gives a good idea of what the finished floor looks like, shown in the second photo.

More about the studio makeover in the next post …
