The 100 Day Project - Days 17-24

What I've learned so far from 100 day project

My daily practice is becoming more flexible and more patterned at the same time. In the beginning I made one square at a time. Then it seemed more efficient and in a better flow to do one media at a time on up to four of the square spaces on the 2-page spread.

As mentioned in the last 100-day post, I decided I like the four days (squares) on the two facing pages to be tied together in either color, theme, style or all three. It reflects my life with themes, focuses and interests for the week or a few days of the week. It feels good to give myself that kind of artistic freedom within the constraints of the two pages.

Currently, Celtic knots, my theme and relaunching of the Keys to Drawing Celtic Knots course is a joyful experience. Drawing Celtic knots is a peaceful process for me because it requires mental focus to begin and draw the basic knot, and then the creative juices start to flow and I feel myself relaxing and getting into an artistic rhythm.

I got so excited about these pages, it led me to add a bonus lesson in watercolor and pen to the Keys to Drawing Celtic Knots course.

The photo below shows the Be Thou my Vision journal from the Keys to drawing Celtic Knots E-course behind the 100-day project journal. Often, I refer to the journal made in the Keys to Drawing Celtic Knots course for spiritual encouragement, wellness, and inspiration for making Celtic themed art.
