The Treasure of X in the A-Z Word Challenge

My word for this year is Light. There are times when I wondered if 'Paradox' would have been a more appropriate choice. On the other hand, 'Light' shines in the darkness and contrast exposing both light and shadow. The letter 'X' is similar. It marks a treasure or destination and it also crosses something out, making it null and void, or finished. In Algebra it represents an unknown quantity.

Who doesn't like a treasure hunt?

“for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."

 - Matthew 6:21

What treasure am I seeking?
What are the unknown elements of the treasure I am seeking?

"In Him all the treasures of divine wisdom -
insight into the ways and purposes of God
and all the riches of spiritual knowledge
and enlightenment are stored up and lie hidden."

~ Colossians 2:3

X is also the letter symbol for a kiss. When combined with 'O' as in xoxo it represents hugs and kisses. I find lighthearted comfort in this. It reminds me I am not alone in this life journey. The Creator of the Cosmos is with me, knows me better than I know myself, and calls me by my name. We are not alone!

"I will go before you and level the mountains
[to make the crooked places straight]...
And I will give you the treasures of darkness
and hidden riches of secret places,
that you may know that it is I the Lord,
the God of Israel, who calls you by name."

~ Isaiah 45:2-3 AMPC

Like 'X' with its two lines crossing each other, we are connected with the God who made us. I believe the God of the universe loves us, and walks with us to find our treasure and fulfillment of purpose in this journey of life.

How am I connecting with God on my journey?

Blessings of grace and peace on your journey
